Privacy Policy
Version of 1 October 2026
This policy explains what Pride App SL ("Pride App", "we") collects when you use the Pride App apps and website, why, who sees it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, phone number or email, profile photo if you add one, and the date you accepted our terms.
- Bookings and orders: what you booked or ordered, dates, guests, delivery addresses and notes, reviews and support messages.
- Payments: amounts, the method (Orange Money, Afrimoney or card), the mobile money number used and the result. Card numbers are handled by our payment partner; we never see or store them.
- Location: only if you allow it, to show nearby places and work out delivery. Riders share their location only while they are online for deliveries, and we keep no history of it.
- Device and security: the phone's name and an app ID, sign-in times, and IP addresses, to keep your account safe and stop fraud.
- Riders and businesses: the ID, licence and business documents and the payout details you send us so we can check and pay you. Payout numbers are stored encrypted.
Why we use it
- To run your bookings, orders, deliveries, refunds and payouts.
- To send the messages they need: codes, confirmations, receipts and delivery updates.
- To keep accounts safe, for example warning you of a sign-in on a new phone.
- To answer you when you ask for help, and to improve the app.
- To send offers by SMS, only if you turn that on. You can turn it off any time; we never send offers between 9 pm and 7 am.
- To keep the records the law asks of us, such as tax and finance records.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who sees it
- The business you book or order from sees your name, phone number and the details of your booking or order.
- Your rider sees your first name, delivery address, notes and a way to call you, only for that delivery.
- Service providers who run parts of Pride App for us under contract: payments (Monime), hosting, databases and file storage, email and SMS sending, and phone notifications. Some of them store data outside Sierra Leone. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Pride App staff can see what they need to support you, and every time they view or change an account it is recorded.
How long we keep it
| Information | Kept |
|---|---|
| Payments, receipts, refunds and completed bookings | 7 years, for tax and finance law |
| Disputes and support chats | 24 months |
| Rider location | Only while the rider is online; no history is kept |
| Unverified guest details | 90 days |
| Your name, phone, addresses and documents | Removed 30 days after you delete your account |
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: in the app, Profile, Privacy and your data, Download my data.
- Correct it: edit your profile, or ask us.
- Delete your account: in the same screen. Your account waits 30 days in case you change your mind; signing in again cancels the deletion. After that, your personal details are removed. Payment and booking records stay without your name, because finance law requires them.
- Offers and location: turn them on or off in the app or your phone's settings.
Security
Connections are encrypted, sign-in uses one-time codes or a password, sensitive numbers are encrypted in our database, and staff use two-step sign-in. No system is perfect: if a breach puts your information at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
Pride App is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, the app asks you to read and accept the new version at your next visit.
